Christian Church Adelaide

A little bit about us

At New Creation Adelaide we are enjoying the revelation that Jesus has done a complete work for us. Each day He wants to favour and bless us, and we are learning to rest in His finished work.

It’s all about Him – not us. Because His work is perfect and complete, we no longer strive, stress, or need to live in condemnation. Our position is to rest and receive while He supplies His grace to meet our every need.

How did we start?

New Creation Church Adelaide started from a small group of family and friends who had heard the grace gospel through watching Joseph Prince. In 2018 our small group connected with New Creation Brisbane.

After receiving the revelation of God’s grace, Ps Percy Campbell started New Creation Brisbane in 2011. On visiting his dear friend Ps Joseph Prince, Percy was encouraged by Joseph to start a grace church in Brisbane.

We are not affiliated with New Creation Church Singapore but we are close friends and share the same message.

Our mandate is to help as many churches and people as possible to discover the Gospel of Grace.

What Is Grace?

Now, can you understand why grace is so wonderful? In fact, Ephesians 3:2 says that we are now under the dispensation of grace. The original Greek word for dispensation means "house management". This means that God wants His household and His children to be managed by grace! So what is grace? Grace is defined as the undeserved, unearned, unmerited favor of God. And favor is defined as preferential treatment. So under the new covenant, God gives you preferential treatment, which you don't deserve. Now, have you ever flown first-class in an airplane? The cabin crew there treat you differently, don't they? They ask you, "Is everything okay with you, sir?" They ask you what kind of magazine you want to read. They give you a blanket if you are cold. They give you the best kind of food. They give you first-class treatment. In other words, they give you preferential treatment as compared to those traveling on economy class. That is how God treats us under the new covenant of grace. We don't deserve His favor, yet He gives it to us freely. That is why it is called grace—grace is undeserved. Romans 5:19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. Today, we qualify for God's favor and blessings not because of our obedience, but because of Christ's obedience. He has made us righteous and qualified us to receive all the blessings of the righteous.

Jesus Was Punished So That You Could Be Blessed

Some of you might ask, "So has God gone soft on sin in the new covenant? Does that mean that I can sin and God will still bless me?" No, God has not gone soft on sin. He has not swept all your sins under the carpet, giving the excuse that "boys will be boys". The sin issue had been settled 2,000 years ago—in the body of another. The truth is that all your sins—past, present, and future—have been punished, but in the body of Jesus Christ. (Colossians 2:13) Hebrews 10:9-10 9… He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 1013y that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:14 14For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. That is how sure the new covenant is. That is how secure you are under the new covenant. Not only have all your sins been forgiven, but you have also been sanctified (or made holy) once for all. You have been perfected forever. It is all because Jesus took the punishment and condemnation for your sins. When Jesus suffered the punishment and condemnation for your sins, He not only paid the price for your sins, but He also paid the price for your blessings. Acts 13:38-39 38Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; 39and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Today, we can be blessed because Jesus has paid the price. He has justified you by His finished work on the cross. In fact, the word "justified" in Acts 13:39 has the same Greek root word for the word "righteous" in Romans 5:19. Now, the Bible says in Proverbs 10:6 that "Blessings are on the head of the righteous". This means that you can enjoy the blessings of the righteous because, by Christ's obedience, you have been made righteous. So God did not go soft on sin. All His fiery wrath and judgment have been exhausted in the body of Jesus so that you can be blessed today. When you know this truth, you will not be afraid to step up to receive your blessings. You will have the assurance and confidence to stand on God's promises for you. Also, when you know this truth, you will not want to sin. On the contrary, you will love God. You will want to live a life that glorifies and honors Him because of what He has done for you.
